  1. Wheatley Heights man arrested in connection with slashing tires at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Ronkonkoma. Fifth Precinct Patrol officers responded to a 911 report of a man slashing tires in the parking lot of the Clarion on Veterans Memorial Highway, Saturday at around 10:45 a.m., according to police. After scoping the area, officers found Teshawn Farris at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Highway and Lakeland Avenue at 11:03 a.m., police said. Farris was arrested and charged for other crimes including a series of tire slashings, as well as falsely reporting fires, and pulling a knife on an employee at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center.   3. ICYMI: Three people arrested on Friday after string of Farmingville area burglaries. The trio have been involved in burglaries at Dunkin locations and other businesses near Farmingville since December, Suffolk police said. "A pair broke into Dunkin on Horseblock Road in Farmingville, and stole cash, they got into a waiting vehicle before speeding away at around 3:40 a.m., police said, adding that a short time later, detectives pulled over the vehicle and arrested the driver, Michael Gruber, and his passengers, Kristen Osmolia and Christopher Volpe." He was very scared when he first came in, and he remains shy, but he needs someone to continue to snuggle and love him bunches! There is no appointment needed to come meet our cats, so please come down anytime we are open M-F 9:30-3:30, Sat 10-3:30 and Sun 11-3:30." (Facebook)
