  1. Merrimac students hold building's first 'Souper Bowl'. Students were encouraged to donate cans of soup and designate their donation toward the Eagles or Chiefs. They then tallied the cans and the Chiefs came out on top. Nearly 400 cans of soup were collected and donated to the Lighthouse Mission. The organization helps those less fortunate on the island. 2. Check out five upcoming open houses in The Town of Brookhaven. These homes are all newly listed and range in price and location. Click the link to see photos and learn more about each listing. (Sachem Patch)
  3. Three injured, one seriously in Tuesday morning Farmingville crash. A 61-year-old Ridge man was seriously injured when he rear-ended a pickup truck in the left lane of Nicolls Road northbound. "Farmingville Fire Department Rescue freed the man from his car, and then he was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said." (Sachem Patch)
