  3. ICYMI: A pedestrian died after being struck by two vehicles in Farmingville. Roland Degroff, 51, was hit on North Ocean Avenue at Granny Road on Sunday evening. He was running east across the roadway when a Mercedes Benz driven by a 41-year-old Mt. Sinai man swerved to avoid him but couldn't avoid Degroff. He was struck and then hit again by a Hyundai Sonata driven by a 44-year-old Coram man. Degroff was pronounced dead at the hospital. Neither driver was injured in the incident. (Sachem Patch)
