CENTEREACH, NY — Suffolk police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect they say stole $1,000 worth of clothes from Carter’s in Centereach on April 19.

The theft took place at the store’s Centereach Mall location at around 6:10 p.m., police said.

In images taken from security video, a man believed to be the suspect who stole the goods can be seen wearing a dark-colored coat and a camouflage bandana on his head, as well as a surgical mask.

The crime has been classified grand larceny.
