  1. Three people arrested on Friday after string of Farmingville area burglaries. The trio have been involved in burglaries at Dunkin locations and other businesses near Farmingville since December, Suffolk police said. "A pair broke into Dunkin on Horseblock Road in Farmingville, and stole cash, they got into a waiting vehicle before speeding away at around 3:40 a.m., police said, adding that a short time later, detectives pulled over the vehicle and arrested the driver, Michael Gruber, and his passengers, Kristen Osmolia and Christopher Volpe." 2. Sachem High School East’s business law students visit the Suffolk County court system. The students embarked on a guided tour of the John P. Cohalan, Jr. Court Complex in Central Islip. Students learned about the key players in a courtroom, the process of arraignments and the different careers available in the court system. They were able to learn about different career options and also learn about civil service exams. (Press Release Desk)
