Woman, 21, Killed In Suffolk Hit-And-Run Crash: Police

RONKONKOMA, NY — A 21-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Ronkonkoma early Monday, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place about 3:20 a.m. on Ronkonkoma Avenue at Third Street. Elyse Crivaro, who was in the roadway, was struck by a car traveling southbound on Ronkonkoma Avenue, police said.

The driver, who was in a dark-colored sedan, fled the scene, police said.

Crivaro, of Holbrook, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was
pronounced dead, police said.
