Award-Winning Fungi Documentary To Screen At Newtown Theatre

Fantastic Fungi reveals the magical world of fungi and their power to heal, sustain and contribute to the regeneration of life on Earth.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The historic Newtown Theatre will screen “Fantastic Fungi” on

Tuesday, November 15 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Following the movie, Luke Smithson, education director and past president of the New Jersey Mycological Association, will be available to discuss the film and answer questions. The event is co-hosted by Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve.

Directed by Louie Schwartzberg and narrated by Brie Larson, Fantastic Fungi is a consciousness-shifting film that reveals the magical world of fungi and their power to heal, sustain and contribute to the regeneration of life on Earth.

Tickets for this special one-night-only screening are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com for $15 per person or $10 for members of the theatre and Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $20 at the door for everyone on the night of the movie (if available).
