Council Rock Grad Who Once Saved Drowning Woman Dies At 37

Eric Warg, a 1998 Council Rock High School grad who once saved a woman drowning in the Hudson River, passed away Friday. He was 37.

Erik D. Warg of Union City, NJ, formerly of Bucks County, died on Friday, October 6, 2017. He was 37.

Born in Abington, Erik was a resident of Hoboken, NJ for the past 6 years. He was the beloved son of Astrida Kalnins Warg and the late Dennis E. Warg.

Erik was a resident of Churchville for many years; he was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1998. He was a star athlete, having competed on the Wrestling team and in 1998 was ranked 4th in the state, he was also co-captain of the football team. Erik loved the outdoors and any sport you could imagine. In 1993 he was ranked # 1 in the BMX National Championship and was an avid snowboarder.

In 2004 Erik graduated from West Virginia University with his Bachelors of Science Degree. Erik had a short but well appreciated career on Wall Street working for several firms; he was most recently with DEVTRIBE Software as National Sales Director. He was formerly VP of Forex Global Solutions, Currensee Inc. and several other Fortune 500 Companies.

In 2014, Erik was given a citation by the City of Hoboken and its mayor for jumping into the Hudson River and saving a woman who was drowning. He also gave his time and talents to several causes that involved Children, Education, Economic Empowerment, Arts and Culture and Civil Rights and Social Action. He most recently has been a volunteer for State Senator Brian P. Stack in Jersey City, NJ.

He will be sadly missed by those whose lives he touched and the smile he brought to their faces. Especially his devoted family.

In addition to his Mother, Erik is survived by his 2 sons; Kaine C. and Kruz H. Warg, his brother Kristoffer D. Warg, his wife Annemarie and nephew Jake. He is also survived by his Uncle Richard A. Warg and his wife Judy. His Godmother, Aunt Sarmite Judson and her husband Bill. Several cousins; Lara Melon and her husband James, Robert Judson and his wife Andrea, Suzanne Warg-Holmes and her husband Chris, Richard Warg Jr. and his wife Jill, Shawn Warg and his wife Shelly.

Erik’s family will receive condolences on Thursday October 12, 2017, from 9:30 am until the start of his Celebration of Life service at 12 Noon at the Davisville Church, 325 Street Rd. Southampton, PA 18966. Interment will be private. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Warg Children Educational Fund c/o First National Bank of Newtown, 832 Second St. Pike, Richboro, PA 18954 attn: Karen Crawford.
