Election 2024: Races Set For November In Newtown Area

Candidates in the Democratic and Republican parties will face each other in November following Tuesday's primary election.

NEWTOWN, PA —The races are now set.

Following Tuesday's primary election, the Democratic and Republican candidates who ran uncontested will now square off in the November general election.

The Bucks County Board of Elections provided an update early Wednesday morning on some general tallies.

The board stated that there were:

  • 89,783 in-person ballots counted
  • 304 out of 304 precincts reporting
  • 60,408 mail-in and absentee ballots returned
  • 58,949 mail-in and absentee ballots counted
  • No provisional ballots have been counted yet
  • No military ballots have been counted yet

  • Democrat Perry Warren —8,247 votes

178th Legislative District

  • Democrat Emma Rosenthal —5,630 votes
  • Republican Kristin Marcell —7,696 votes
