Historic Newtown Theatre Presents 'The Music Of The Band'

The concert will feature songs from The Band, but also some Bob Dylan and original music by Professor Louie and The Crowmatix.

NEWTOWN, PA — The historic Newtown Theatre presents “The Music of the Band” featuring Professor Louie and The Crowmatix with The Woodstock Horns on Friday, March 22 at 8 p.m.

The Grammy-nominated Professor Louie and The Crowmatix have been performing together since 2000. Louie collaborated with The Band for more than 16 years, producing the group’s last three albums and playing on and producing their comeback hit, "Atlantic City."

A seasoned live performer, prolific recording artist, and versatile multi-instrumentalist, he has emerged in the music industry as the torchbearer of the true spirit of American Roots music.

The concert will feature a diverse set list with songs from The Band, but also some Bob Dylan and original music by Professor Louie and The Crowmatix.

Tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com for $32 per person or $27 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $42 at the door on the night of the show (if available). All seating is general admission.

Beer, wine, and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the show. The theatre is located at 120 N. State Street in Newtown Borough.
