BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Heavy rains on Tuesday and early Wednesday soaked sections of Bucks County over the past 24 hours as officials and authorities worried about the ramifications of additional flooding due to rising creeks and rivers.

Numerous communities reported flooding which caused road closures and two-hour delays for most school districts Wednesday morning. Officials and law enforcement were also monitoring the Neshaminy Creek and the Delaware River for flooding.

The forecast for today is for brightening skies with a high temperature near 50. It will be breezy with a west wind 15 to 25 mph. Overnight it will be partly cloudy with a low around freezing.

On Thursday, expect sunny skies with a high near 46.

The next storm is forecast to move into the area on Friday evening with a 100 percent chance of rain on Friday night.

The weekend will be sunny but with dropping temperatures. The high will reach 55 degrees early on Saturday but then drop through the day. Sunday's high will only reach 36.

Looking ahead, a snowstorm may be on the horizon for Monday night into Tuesday.
