Newtown Cleans Up After Winter Storm

A winter Nor'easter brought nearly a foot of snow to parts of the Newtown area.

NEWTOWN, PA — A winter Nor'easter storm brought nearly a foot of snow to the Newtown area, according to the latest measurements from the National Weather Service.

The combination of heavy snow, sleet and wind caused problems for drivers. Bucks County Emergency Management officials reported more than 119 calls to 911 and 18 traffic accidents with four involving injuries and one entrapment.

PECO reported no major power outages during the storm. You can report outages to PECO via their app or by calling 1-800-841-4141.

Newtown Township lifted its snow emergency at 12 p.m. Tuesday.
