Based on the novel by Robert Lewis Stevenson, Jekyll & Hyde presents an evocative tale of a man and his alter ego. At one moment a doctor, passionate and romantic, and in the next a terrifying madman. We see his relationships with two women – one, beautiful and trusting, the other, beautiful, and trusting only herself – both women in love with the same man and both unaware of his dark secret. A devoted man of science, Dr. Henry Jekyll is driven to find a chemical breakthrough that can solve some of mankind's most challenging medical dilemmas. Rebuffed by the powers that be, he decides to make himself the subject of his own experimental treatments, accidentally unleashing his inner demons along with the man that the world would come to know as Mr. Hyde.

This production, under the direction of Michael Schiumo of Hatboro, Pennsylvania, music direction of Lee Millhous of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and choreographed by Joy Woffindin of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, was first presented in May 1990 at the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas and officially premiered on Broadway at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on April 28, 1997. JEKYLL & HYDE The Musical was conceived for the stage by Steve Cuden & Frank Wildhorn, with book and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, music by Frank Wildhorn, orchestrations by Kim Scharnberg, and arrangements by Jason Howland. JEKYLL & HYDE (B’WAY) is presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. Performance dates are Thursday, April 18, Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. (evening performances), and Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 at 2 p.m. (matinees).
