Newtown Township Police Announce Death Of Active Duty Sergeant
The Newtown Township Police Department has announced the death of active duty police Sgt. Frank Ambrose.
NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department is mourning the passing of Sgt. Frank W. Ambrose, who died Friday.
The 64-year-old Southampton resident was a longtime Bucks County resident, having served with the police department for 25 years. He enjoyed traveling and hiking as well as discussing history, according to his obituary.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lorraine Skelton Ambrose, his two children and two brothers.

Relatives, friends and fellow police officers are invited to a celebration of his life on Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. and to his memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Swartz Givnish Funeral Home, 323 Washington Ave, Newtown, PA.
Memorial contributions in his name can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1818 Market St, Philadelphia, PA.
