PENNSYLVANIA — Father's Day weekend may get off to a stormy start Friday afternoon and evening as an approaching cold front brings the chance for heavy rain, strong winds and hail to Pennsylvania.

According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of a cold front and move through the area Friday between 4 and 10 p.m.

Storms are expected to be scattered in nature, according to forecasters, but will be capable of producing gusty and damaging winds, large hail, and brief, heavy downpours.
