"Our Wildflower Weekend is a celebration of the extended summer, where nature's beauty continues to grace our farm with a kaleidoscope of colors," says Jon Kontz, executive director of Hortulus. "Seeing the grounds brimming with families connecting amidst nature is truly our greatest joy. We are delighted to continue nurturing this sense of togetherness and wonder through our Wildflower Weekend, offering elegant and thoughtful nature-based programming that brings the community closer to the artistic brilliance of our natural surroundings. We extend a heartfelt invitation to everyone, young and old, to join us in savoring these magical moments when families unite around activities in nature."

In addition to the wildflowers, Kontz said visitors can enjoy live music from local musicians, floral-themed cocktails from Soundless Spirits Distillery and Vault Brewing in the farm's Cocktail Garden, and food trucks.

The festival will also be a haven of immersive experiences for children, embracing the essence of Hortulus Farm's vision and mission to foster connections with nature and family. Alongside flower-themed crafts, young visitors will be enthralled by the return of the beloved Boat Launch at Boulder Falls craft, where they can create miniature boats to set sail in the tranquil waters, said Kontz.

Moreover, children can embark on a "sparkling adventure" with gold panning, discovering hidden treasures amidst the boulders, said Kontz. "In a world of enchantment, they will have the opportunity to craft their very own fairy wonders, igniting their imagination with whimsical

creations," he said. "The airclay-pressed flower craft will offer a tactile and artistic exploration of nature's gifts, allowing kids to preserve the beauty of wildflowers in their unique creations."

The farm also offers an expanded petting farm, featuring interactive encounters with a Peruvian Alpaca, Miniature Sicilian Donkey, sheep, goats, chickens, bunnies, ducks, and Indian Fantails.

According to Kontz, Hortulus Farm is teaming up with Marsh Gibbons Gardens to offer an enchanting addition to the Wildflower Weekend. Guests will be able to purchase additional bespoke bouquets created from the stunning floral collection found at Marsh Gibbons.

Additionally, he said guests can handpick vibrant blooms and delicate ribbons to create their unique and bespoke wildflower crowns. Skilled florists from Lady Bird Wild Flowers and Rise and Shine Flowers will assist in weaving the flowers together, resulting in exquisite crowns that reflect each individual's style.

Hortulus Farm is also hosting "Bee School," an immersive 30-minute hands-on program in partnership with Queen Bee Pharmacy, offering young nature enthusiasts aged 4 to 12 a captivating experience with honeybees. Clad in bee suits, children delve into the hive, exploring the fascinating world of honeybees and their vital role in pollination, fostering an appreciation for our ecosystem. Guided by knowledgeable beekeepers, they learn to support and assist pollinators, and unleash creativity with hive-inspired crafts. Cooperative play learning enhances the experience, making it perfect for all ages.

Bee School leaves children and adults awestruck, cherishing this magical adventure amidst the gentle buzz of the honeybees at Hortulus Farm.

The Wildflower Weekend at Hortulus Farm will also host photographer Meg Arcari of Blue Jar Photography. Visitors will have the opportunity to book family photo sessions with Meg amidst the backdrop of the farm's blooming wildflower fields.

The Wildflower Festival Weekend will take place on September 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hortulus Farm, 60 Thompson Mill Road, Wrightstown 18940. The garden shop will also be open on Fridays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. September to December.
