Winter Storm Warning: When Will Snow Start In Bucks County?

Bucks County is expected to receive four to six inches of snow from a quick hitting storm starting Friday night, forecasters said.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Get ready for the second storm to hit Bucks County in less than a week.

The National Weather Service has upgraded its Winter Weather Advisory to a Winter Storm Warning for Bucks County in anticipation of a storm that is expected to start at 10 p.m. Friday and bring between 3 and 5 inches of snow to the region by Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey said the warning will go into effect from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday.

Snow may briefly become heavy late Friday night before tapering off early Saturday with snowfall rates of around an inch per hour or greater possible, forecasters said.

A nor’easter dumped between 1 and 11 inches of snow on the county Tuesday after starting as rain.

The National Weather Service said that drivers should plan for slippery road conditions. Motorists should slow down and use caution while traveling.

Friday Night

Snow, mainly after 1 a.m. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 27. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches is possible.

Saturday

Snow showers are likely, mainly before 11 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 38. North wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible.

Saturday Night

Mostly clear, with a low around 20. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday

Mostly sunny, with a high near 39. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
