Woman Who Lived In Newtown 66 Years Dies At 101

Grace Lukens lived in Newtown for 66 years. She died on April 7 at the age of 101.

Grace E. Lukens, 101, of Newtown, PA died on April 7 at Tel Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook, PA. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska Grace was a 66 year resident of Newtown.

Grace is a graduate of Lexington Massachusetts High School, Class of 1934 and a graduate of Bucks Co. Community College with a degree as a LPN. Grace is a long time active member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at St. Mary Medical Center, Pickering Manor and the Bucks Co. Association of the Blind and seeing impaired. She loved her family and was very proud of being a "Grammy".

Grace is the daughter of the late Everett Josiah and Emma Louise Wall Custer, wife of the late Alan R. Lukens, IV, mother of the late John E. Lukens and grandmother of the late Barbara Grace (Wade) Riddle. She is survived by her son, Alan R. Lukens, V and his wife Mary Ann. She is the devoted grandmother of David C. (Julie) Lukens, Faith (J.P.) St. Amour and Dr. Sean D. (Maria) Lukens and great grandmother of Zachary Riddle, Jackson Lukens, Sophia Lukens, Grace St. Amour and Hope St. Amour.

Relatives and friends are invited to Grace's Memorial Life Celebration on Saturday, April 14 from 1 to 2 PM and to her Memorial Service at 2 PM at the Newtown Presbyterian Church, 25 N. Chancellor St., Newtown, PA. Interment will be private.
