NEWTOWN, PA — The historic Newtown Theatre will be filled with stories in February and March.

On Thursday, February 15 from 7 to 9 p.m., the theatre will hold its latest storytelling workshop, “Awakening the Hidden Storyteller.” That will be followed by a public storytelling event on Sunday, March 10 at 3 p.m.

At the workshop, which is limited to 25 people and costs $42, participants will experience a low-stress, fun-filled introduction to the essential elements of storytelling, story listening, and story creating. They will emerge with a new-found confidence in their ability to create compelling spoken stories from personal memories, traditional folklore, and pure imagination.

The theme of the third-annual event is “A Wild Ride on the River of Time: Stories of the Past, Present & Future.” During this event, six storytellers will explore the sometimes hilarious and sometimes terrifying aspects of the passage of time.

Tickets for both the workshop and the public storytelling event are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com. Note that the public storytelling event is recommended for
