Wrightstown Farmers Market Reopening At Middletown Grange

Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 4, the market reopens for its main season, which runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

WRIGHTSTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Wrightstown Farmers Market returns to the Middletown Grange Fair, 576 Penns Park Road, on Saturday, May 4 for a brand new season.

Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m., the market reopens for its main season, which runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. from now through Nov. 23 rain or shine. There will be no market on August 17 due to the Middletown Grange Fair.

Opening day activities include a free Nasturtium plant giveaway, plant stand painting and monster bubbles for the kids, folk music from the Goose Creek Pioneers, ready-to-eat food from the Bonjour Creperie Food Truck, Burek by Zeni, Helpful Foodie, and Macungie Mountain Herb Farm.

The market will be welcoming back many of last year’s vendors including: Apple Ridge Farm, Blooming Glen Farm, Rolling Hills Farm, Sugar Maple Jerseys, Solebury Orchards, Hollow House Farms, Solly Farm (in June), Baptist Church Farm (late July), Primordia Mushroom Farm, Holben Valley Farm, Purely Farm, the Farmstead Table, Macungie Mountain Herb Farm, Honey Hills Apiary, Manoff Cidery, Red Brick Craft Distillery, sweets vendors, local artisans, and many more!

New vendors include Annie B’s Sweets, Kismet Bagels, Dragonfly Hill Farm & Kitchen, Love Grown Grains, Refresh n’ Flourish, Kona Compost, and Wycombe Vineyards.

Looking ahead, several exciting events and activities are planned at the market, including the return of the “What’s in Season?” cooking demos highlighting products from local growers and producers. Also planned are several chef demonstrations featuring celebrity Chef Christina Pirello on July 13 and personal chef Nash Reba on July 6.

Fun and crafty days are also planned for the kids this season. Activities will be hosted by the Penn State Master Gardeners, 4H Club, local libraries, and by local high school students earning their community service hours.

The market will also be bringing back many of its much-loved events such as the free Giant Ice Cream Sundae Day July 20, the interactive Monarch Butterfly Tent, the annual Pie Tasting Contest on Sept. 21, Apple Tasting Day on Oct. 12, and its Howlin’ Halloween Day on October 26 with a professional face painter and tons of spooky fun.

There's also good news for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) users this season. In addition to a $2 match for every $5 from the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance, the market will
include an additional $3 match. So, the match is now $1 to $1.
