North Hills Names Elementary Assistant Principal

Let Patch introduce you to Kaitlin Hoch.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — Kaitlin Hoch has been named the North Hills School District’s new
interim elementary assistant principal. She will work at West View Elementary School during the 2023-24 school year while the building is under construction.

Hoch joined the district in 2017 as a first grade teacher at Ross Elementary School. She moved to McIntyre Elementary School the following year as a fourth grade teacher, a position she held for five years through last school year.

Additionally, she served as McIntyre’s safety sponsor from 2018-2023 3 and McIntyre’s head teacher from 2020-2023.

“Kaitlin will be an invaluable asset and a tremendous help to Mr. Simpson, his staff and West View’s students during the renovation project,” superintendent Patrick Mannarino said in a district release.

Hoch, of Cranberry, is a graduate of Duquesne University with a bachelor’s in elementary education (pre-K-4) and a master's in school administration.

Hoch’s position is not permanent. But it will allow the administration and school board to evaluate the need for elementary assistant principals across the district.
