Citizens Bank celebrates 25th Anniversary of Giant Eagle partnership
Citizens to thank customers with Customer Appreciation Day events at all 60 Giant Eagle in-store branch locations on February 26
Pittsburgh – Citizens Bank is proud to announce its celebration this week of 25 years of providing Giant Eagle customers with convenient access to all their banking needs. Since opening the first in-store Giant Eagle branch in late 1990, Citizens now offers customers the ability to handle their banking needs in 60 western Pennsylvania Giant Eagle locations. Citizens will mark the occasion with Customer Appreciation Day events at all of its Giant Eagle branch locations on February 26.
“At Citizens, we know how important it is for our customers to be able to take care of their banking needs when, where and how they want, and we are pleased to celebrate 25 years of serving our Giant Eagle customers,” said Steve Carpenter, Pittsburgh Retail Director, Citizens Bank. “Our customers tell us how much they value the convenience of our supermarket locations and we will continue to work toward offering them even more options to meet their banking needs. Giant Eagle has been a great partner and we look forward to working together for at least another 25 years to mutually serve our customers”.
The February 26 celebration will take place in all 60 Citizens Bank Giant Eagle locations, will feature treats and customers will have an opportunity to win a $25 gift card. In addition to the customer appreciation day, Citizens has also teamed with Giant Eagle to support POWER, an organization that helps women reclaim their lives from the disease of addiction to alcohol and other drugs, by offering seminars on financial tips and health and wellness.

The 60 full-service Citizens Bank branches in Giant Eagle locations are designed to meet all customer banking needs while enhancing customer convenience with a blend of personal service and user-friendly 24/7 technology. The branches provide the convenience of full-service banking seven days a week, including private offices for customer consultations, teller windows and enhanced ATMs so customers can deposit checks and cash without needing envelopes and deposit slips. Citizens also has ATM locations in 29 Giant Eagle locations throughout western Pennsylvania, and more than 80 GetGo locations.
