Breaking: Officials are warning residents to "be on the look out" after a rabid raccoon was found near a Warminster grocery store.

Warminster Township officials are warning residents to "be on the look out" after a rabid raccoon was found near a local grocery store.

The township, in a Facebook post Tuesday, notified the public that the local Animal Control Officer was informed of a positive case of rabies in a raccoon near the Giant store in Warminster.

"Our officer and the County Department of Health are working on this issue," according to the township.

The township is asking residents to report any suspicious animal behavior to the Animal Control Officer at (267) 317-1380
