Shooting At Ashburn Apartment Complex Kills Man: Sheriff's Office

A fatal shooting of a man at an Ashburn apartment complex is being investigated by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

ASHBURN, VA — A Sterling man was killed in a shooting at an Ashburn apartment complex Wednesday, Feb. 14, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Police are looking for the wanted suspect in the Feb. 14 shooting.

The shooting happened at the Ashburn Meadows apartment complex. Sheriff's deputies had responded to 911 calls around 7:19 p.m. Wednesday about a gunshot and an unresponsive person in the 44400 block of Keller Square.

The victim was found dead in the parking lot. The sheriff's office said the victim had a gunshot wound.

The victim was identified as Michai Dandridge-Carter, 19, of Sterling.

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking the suspect, Rashaun D. Owens. He is wanted on charges of second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and attempted robbery with a firearm. Authorities say he is considered armed and dangerous.
