Fires At Ashburn Residential Building Lead To Arson-Related Charges

A Leesburg man was arrested and charged for intentional fires at a residential building in Ashburn, according to the fire department.

ASHBURN, VA — A Leesburg man is facing arson-related charges for April 2023 fires set in Ashburn, according to Loudoun County Fire and Rescue.

Austin Bostic, 31, of Leesburg, was arrested by the Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office for two separate fires on April 5, 2023, in the 43000 block of Thistledown Terrace in Ashburn. He was charged with burning or destroying a dwelling/house and setting fire to woods/fences/grass and was held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

Fire and rescue had responded to a building fire around 2:29 p.m. in the 43000 block of Thistledown Terrace. Firefighters found the remnants of a fire in a residential building's stairwell and determined there was no extension of the fire. Units found a second area where personal property items were burned in front of the building. The fire marshal's office determined the fires were intentionally set. There were no reported injuries.
