LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Funeral services will be held Monday for firefighter Trevor Brown, a Sterling Volunteer Fire Company firefighter who died in a Feb. 16 home explosion in Sterling.

The home explosion happened in the 300 block of Silver Ridge Drive in a neighborhood north of Route 7, killing Brown and injuring 14 others. Two of the injured were residents who escaped but lost their home. The explosion, linked to a leak from a 500-gallon underground propane tank, damaged six neighboring homes.

Brown, 45, had been with the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System since 2016. He is survived by his wife and three children, WTOP reported.
