Woman Robbed At Gunpoint On W&OD Trail In Loudoun County

An armed man stole from a woman walking on the Washington & Old Dominion Trail in Sterling, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

STERLING, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery of a woman on the Washington & Old Dominion Trail in Sterling Tuesday.

The robbery happened on the trail between Sterling Boulevard and Church Road. The victim was taking a walk in the early evening when a man displayed a gun and demanded her purse. The woman gave him the purse and contacted authorities when she returned home.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his early 20s around 5 foot 10 with black curly hair and wearing a black hooded jacket. He was riding a red bicycle with a blue and white seat.
