Sunshine and 85 Degrees: Virginia Weather Forecast

It was a chilly morning Monday, but we can take comfort that this is the coldest it will get over the next week.

What's even better: Temperatures Monday will reach the mid-80s. Most of the rest of the week will keep temps in the 70s as the sun keeps shining. Welcome, spring!

There's a chance for showers near the end of the week, but it'll clear out for another gorgeous, sunny weekend, with temperatures in the 70s.

The weather system keeping nice weather in our region has also meant dangerous storms have settled in over Texas.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 85. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Light west wind becoming west southwest 6 to 11 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 74. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 70.

Friday: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 67.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71.
