Weekend Weather Timeline: Rain and Storms, But Not For Long

Virginia forecast: We'll get a break from our extended dry spell to end the week, but things are looking up for the rest of the weekend.

It's been a pleasant week, but we could use just a little bit of rain. And, that's exactly what we're going to get this weekend: just a little bit.

Showers will actually start overnight Thursday, with storms possible by Friday afternoon.

The wet weather exits the forecast early Saturday, with temperatures near 70 degrees for the weekend.
