Winter Storm Watch: Several Inches of Snow Possible

After dangerous wind chill temperatures exit the region Sunday morning, we may have little time to prepare for another winter storm, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter storm watch will be in effect from late Sunday night until Tuesday morning.

Snow, sleet and freezing rain are expected, with the potential for around 5 inches of snow and sleet and a quarter inch of ice from freezing rain.

Snow will begin late Sunday night and continue through Monday before changing to sleet and freezing rain Monday night. Precipitation will end Tuesday afternoon.

“Snow and ice will cause slippery roads and travel will be difficult,” according to the National Weather Service.
