Dear friends, community members, and compassionate supporters, 
My Journey: I have been through an unimaginable ordeal over the last couple of years, including emotional and psychological abuse from (now-estranged) family members, depression and self-harm episodes, family threats and trauma, workplace bias, prejudice, and mistreatment (at different times throughout my career), health issues including being diagnosed with ADHD, and the loss of my job. Those of you who are close enough to me and my life already are aware of much of my situation over the last 3-4 years.
These past few months have been particularly trying for me, as I have struggled not only with the emotional and psychological toll of my experiences but also with the financial instability that has followed. Despite my best efforts, I have faced a lack of substantial job interviews and opportunities, making it nearly impossible for me to regain stability and move forward. I had faced a similar job loss at the beginning of COVID when the government was, fortunately, offering more assistance and inflation/cost of living wasn&rsquo;t as high, but now I cannot take on any more financial stress in the form of debt or additional loans and would like to just move forward with my/our life.

Why Your Support Matters: I am a resilient, hardworking individual who has always been there for friends and others in the community in their time of need. I regularly give blood, donate food, clothing, and books to those in need, and every year for the past 14 years sponsor a child&rsquo;s education at a street children&rsquo;s school in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Now, I find myself on the other side, vulnerable and in desperate need of a helping hand. Financial support during this time would allow me to cover basic household living expenses, seek professional help for my trauma, purchase medicine to treat my ADHD and cover other medical expenses like therapy, the flu, COVID shots, dental cleaning, etc (without insurance for the time being) and continue my job search without the overwhelming burden of financial insecurity.
How You Can Help: Your generous contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in my life and present situation. Funds raised will go directly and exclusively towards Necessities: Covering upcoming rent and utility payment/s, food and groceries, car insurance, tax payments, and other essentials
Medical and mental health care: Assisting me in accessing the care I need to continue to heal from the trauma I&rsquo;ve experienced, to treat my ADHD and other proactive health measures.Job search support: Providing the resources I need to find and secure employment, including transportation, interview attire, networking events, and other job-seeking essentials.
Let&rsquo;s Stand Together: I have faced so much in such a short period, but I truly believe that with the support of our community, I can get back on my feet. No one should have to go through such hardship alone, and together, you all can provide me with the support and hope I need to rebuild my life. Your kindness and generosity can bring light to my life during this dark time, reminding me that I am not alone and that there is hope for a brighter future. I continue to believe in my skills and abilities, as do my peers but recognize that we are in a period of continued inflation / economic instability, tech layoffs, and uncertainty about the job market, thus I have chosen to set an ambitious goal as the future is uncertain with the upcoming election.
