Adopt Maverick And More Alexandria Pets At Spring Fling Adoption Event

ALEXANDRIA, VA — At Patch we regularly feature adoptable pets from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. This Saturday, the animal shelter invites the community to two events.

At the Spring Fling Adoption Event, adopters can name the adoption fee they'd pay. There will also be a Spring Yard Sale with used pet supplies on Saturday.

Saturday's event will feature pets like Maverick, a happy, energetic dog looking for a family to go on adventures with. Maverick loves all humans and has lived with children.

Maverick is all smiles! Why is that? Because he can't wait to meet his future family on Saturday, May 14, as part of the AWLA's Spring Fling Adoption Event, taking place from noon to 5 p.m. Maverick is a happy and active guy who loves to go go GO! He's a real pro at a variety of games, including tug-of-war and fetch, but he realizes that he needs the perfect partner with which to play them. He'd also be excited to take on new adventures, such as hiking and running, with the right family. Maverick loves everyone he meets, and he's even lived with children before. In fact, he'd love to be someone's constant companion, so he could be by their side all of the time. And best of all, as part of the May 14 Spring Fling Adoption Event, you can name your adoption fee for Maverick and all the other adoptable animals at the AWLA, so he is ready and raring to go. Please note that for COVID safety, a limited number of visitors will be allowed inside the AWLA building at one time.
