ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria takes in pets all the time, but some pets return to the animal shelter more than once on occasion.

One of those pets is Cliff, who was adopted from the animal shelter as a kitten. He is back in the shelter after his owner's health declined. Now that he is in his golden years, he would love to be welcomed into a new home.

Cliff is an 11-year-old male orange tabby kitty who is looking for a family to take care of him through his golden years. Cliff was adopted from us as a kitten, but returned recently when his former guardian's health declined. He was a little shy when he arrived back with us, but he's blossomed into an outgoing, friendly and social cat over the past few weeks. He loves to lounge in his plush bed, but if he hears a visitor, he'll rush right out to greet you. Cliff loves to be showered with affection, pets and even be brushed. Cliff requires medication for a thyroid issue for the rest of his life, but his condition is easily managed. So don't let that frighten you away from this handsome guy!
