Rex is a 9-month-old male dog with an award-winning grin. Besides Rex's smile, he is often complimented on his beautiful brindle coat and silky soft floppy ears. Rex is young and active, so would do best with a family who can ensure he gets playtime, walks, or runs. Volunteers say he is a curious walker and loves to take in all the sniffs. He is very smart and already knows how to sit and shake. Even though Rex is an active guy, he settles nicely and knows when it's time to chill out.

The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria is typically open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on all weekdays except Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends for animal viewing. The location is 4101 Eisenhower Ave., Alexandria, VA.
