ALEXANDRIA, VA — If you're thinking about adopting a pet, consider looking at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria's adoptable shelter pets. You can even find dogs that won't be a long-term commitment, because senior dogs are in need of loving homes too.

One of these dogs is Wiley, a Collie mix who could fit into many kinds of homes due to his relaxed nature. He's lived with dogs and children before and would simply enjoy a loving home. Even though he's a senior dog, that doesn't mean he wouldn't learn new tricks with treats as motivation.

Wiley's adoption fees are covered by a donor.

Here's more information on Wiley:

Wiley, 10-year-old Male Tan and White Collie Mix
There's nothing wild about Wiley!
Stately senior Wiley is quite the looker, with his long and luxurious tan and white coat. At 10 years old, this collie mix is a big, easy-going fellow who wants nothing more from life than a comfortable home and a lot of love.
Wiley is a pretty chill guy who would be a great fit for all kinds of homes; he already has experience living with both children and other dogs. His favorite form of exercise are nice, leisurely walks, after which he's all about the recovery period: snuggles for all! His polite manners will floor you, and whoever said old dogs can't learn new tricks never met Wiley, who is happy to try a new skill when yummy treats are on offer.
Wiley's adoption fees have already been paid by a generous donor, so learn more about Wiley and schedule time to meet him at AlexandriaAnimals.org/Adopt-By-Appointment.
