Alexandria Restaurants Join Regional Summer Restaurant Week

MCLEAN, VA — Before Alexandria Restaurant Week kicks off, foodies will be able to enjoy local restaurant specials during a regional summer restaurant week. As part of a format adjusted for the pandemic, Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week will feature takeout specials with the regular dine-in specials from Aug. 17 to 30.

The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington holds restaurant weeks twice a year, inviting eateries to offer specials in DC, Virginia and Maryland. Summer restaurant week was expanded by a week to give diners more time to hit their favorite spots or try new eateries. Due to the financial struggles restaurants are facing during the pandemic, Events DC and JBG Smith are covering the cost for restaurants to participate in the summer restaurant week.

Participating restaurants will offer dinner menus at $35 or $55 per person, and multi-course lunch and brunch menus will be offered at select places for $22 per person. Some restaurants will have takeout specials, including family-style meals, while cocktail or wine pairings will be available à la carte for dine-in or takeout.

• BRABO Brasserie: Dinner, to-go special
• The Rub Chicken & Beer: Dinner, cocktail or wine pairing
• Chart House Restaurant - Alexandria: Lunch and dinner
• A La Lucia: Dinner, to-go special
• Osteria Marzano: Dinner, cocktail or wine pairing, to-go special
• Hummingbird Bar + Kitchen: Lunch and dinner
• Laporta's Restaurant: Brunch, lunch and dinner, cocktail or wine pairing, to-go special
• River Bend Bistro & Wine Bar: Dinner, cocktail or wine pairing, to-go special
