Featured Alexandria Pet: Arnold Will Jump Through A Hoop For You

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Home for the Pawlidays continues through December to help shelter pets at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria find homes this holiday season. Priority Automotive has pre-paid adoption fees for all adult animals to give adopters extra motivation to adopt.

One of the AWLA's available pets is Arnold, a smart guy who is eager to learn trips like jumping through a hoop. He'd love to continue learning tricks with a new family, especially when it involves treats.

Hey, Arnold! That's what people keep saying when they meet me, and then immediately after, they also say just how smart and handsome I am. I sound like a pretty swell guy, huh?

I see myself as kind of a goofy fellow. I love to run and play, especially with toys that make squeaky noises. They're my favorite! One of my volunteer friends found that I love them so much, you can even use them to train me. I will literally jump through hoops to play with toys!

I'm so good at learning, and I think it could be fun to learn even more with my new family. Along with the hoop, I can also Sit and I am learning Touch. The key is to have the yummiest snacks for training; I can't resist them.

I imagine that you will be so dazzled by my intelligence that you couldn't even focus on another dog, so for that reason, I'd prefer to be the only pup in my new home. And best of all, my adoption fees are pre-paid through the end of the year by my friends at Priority Automotive as part of the AWLA's Home for the Pawlidays event, so I can't wait to meet you and move into my new home this pawliday season!
