Lynne Mulston, president of the Reston Citizens Association, wrote this letter to the members of the Virginia Senate Gaming Subcommittee, which voted Tuesday to advance Sen. Dave Marsden's (D-Burke) casino referendum bill to a full vote of the Senate Committee on General Laws & Technology.

Dear Senators,

I want to bring to your attention a false testimony by Senator Marsden during todays' Gaming Subcommittee hearing. As evidenced in this NBC4 news clip, Supervisor Walter Alcorn expressed opposition to a casino in the Hunter Mill District. Further, Supervisor Alcorn discussed his opposition with Senator Marsden on December 12, 2023.
