Illegal Machine Guns Found At Vienna Man's Home: Police

Fairfax County Police say an investigation into a tip on sexual communication with a minor led to the discovery of machine guns.

VIENNA, VA — A Vienna man was arrested and charged after Fairfax County Police found illegal machine guns at his home.

Police had been investigating a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding Craig Strasbourger, 31, of Vienna. The tip claimed Strasbourger was having sexual communication with a minor in Kentucky. Police learned he lived in the 2100 block of Robin Way Court, Vienna, which is outside town limits.

Detectives and a SWAT team conducted a search warrant at Strasbourger's home on Thursday. Police found four illegal machine guns, as well as electronic devices for further investigation.

Strasbourger was charged with four counts of unlawful possession of a machine gun. In Virginia, possession of a machine gun can be illegal when it has not been registered as required.

He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and initially held on a $4,000 secured bond. Additional charges are pending, as detectives are investigating electronic evidence from the home.
