VIENNA, VA — If you park in Vienna's commercial corridors, the town's government wants to hear from you.

The Town of Vienna is surveying residents on parking in Vienna's commercial corridors, which include Maple Avenue, Church Street, Cedar Lane, Mill Street, Dominion Road and Center Street. Much of the study area has off-street parking, such as parking lots. The commercial corridor of Church Street has on-street public parking.

The survey asks residents which commercial corridors they most often visit, the purpose of their visits, how often they park in commercial corridors, how long they typically park, and what factors into their parking decisions. Residents can also share feedback for improvements to parking.

The survey is open through Feb. 28.

One future option to bolster public parking could be at the Patrick Henry Library at Maple Avenue East and Center Street. The town is working with Fairfax County on a rebuilt Patrick Henry Library that could come with a new parking structure. While Fairfax County's library project with a garage space is planned to move forward, the town's part would be additional spots in the garage for public parking.
