Road Closure Affects Dunn Loring Area On 4 Weekdays: VDOT

DUNN LORING, VA — A daytime road closure will affect the Dunn Loring area four days this week, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Idylwood Road (Route 695) will be closed to through traffic between Central Avenue (Route 781) and Cedar Lane (Route 698) between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day from Monday to Thursday. The closure is due to stormwater pipe replacement work.

Residents needing to access properties along Idylwood Road will be able to reach them. Traffic will not be allowed past the post of pipe replacement in both directions near 8302 Idylwood Road immediately west of the Cedar Lane intersection.

Through traffic will follow a detour on Idylwood Road, Williams Avenue (Route 896), Electric Avenue (Route 697) and Cedar Lane back to Idylwood Road. Detour signs are posted.
