Sex Crime With 6-Year-Old Victim In Merrifield Leads To Arrest

A man is facing a charge related to unlawfully touching a 6-year-old, according to Fairfax County Police.

MERRIFIELD, VA — A 6-year-old was the victim of a sex crime that led to charges in Merrifield, according to Fairfax County Police.

Around 7 p.m. last Thursday, officers responded to a playground in the 7300 block of Arlington Boulevard. Police received a report of a man who unlawfully touched the 6-year-old and were able to quickly locate and arrest the man.

Victor Villalobos, 47, of Merrifield, was charged with aggravated sexual battery of a juvenile under the age of 13. He is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Police have increased their presence and community outreach effort in the area following the child sex crime. The Major Crimes Bureau’s Victim Services Division was assigned to provide resources and assistance to the victim.

Detectives are asking for anyone who has information or had unlawful contact with Villalobos to contact the Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800, option 4, or submit a tip through Crime Solvers.
