Bonjour :) My name is Roland and I speak French fluently. I have taught French successfully to hundreds of people at every level and who just like you, wanted to gain a little more confidence speaking or understanding this beautiful language. I hold a Certification from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL) and I also took French Literature at Princeton University as well. The way I teach is simple: I make my classes easy, fun but focused on things that are relevant and interesting to my students. My aim is to help you reach your goals and make you proficient and confident in interacting with native speakers in French. The first time we speak, I will simply ask you to help me understand your goals and which areas you might need immediate help with. Then, I will build a course designed around those areas and focused on making the class fun to you. I have a great sense of humor so don't be surprised if you find yourself laughing often in my class :). I know what it is like to learn a foreign language. I speak three fluently and for each one, I went through the same kind of challenges that you are now.
