About me
Hello, my name is Andre and I live in England. I have been an English teacher for over seven years now. I also have experience tutoring in Asian languages (for example, Hindi and Urdu) and translating/interpreting.
I am available to teach the following languages as well: Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati and Punjabi.
When I am not teaching English, I like to go for walks, play and write music, read books, learn languages and write books about languages and historical linguistics. I have published several dictionaries and books online.
I have more than one TEFL teaching certificate - including one in Business English. First I worked in a school that used the Callan Method for speaking English and then in 2017 I started teaching online.
I always tailor my teaching techniques to suit the age, needs, background, preferences and language level of my students. I like to encourage my students to have conversations and I give them instant correction of pronunciation/grammar mistakes. I only use English in class.

Andre is very knowledgeable of etymology and grammar. Learning Gujarati with him has been very rewarding. He is especially helpful in drawing comparisons between Gujarati and the languages I already know, as well as providing tips on common usage and colloquialisms.
