About me

Hi! My name is Océane, I am a native French speaker and I live in the south of France. I have a Bachelor degree in languages (english and spanish) and a Masters degree in translation and interpretation (english and spanish). I have been giving private lessons of French and English since high school and I started working as a substitute teacher at the end of 2023. I am used to teaching to different levels and I have students of all ages. My teaching method is based on your goals and expectations and I think communication is key. I am a private teacher since high school and I teach as a subsitute teacher since the end of 2023. I try to create fun lessons and I usually prioritise conversation with little exercices when needed. I also create more conventional lessons when needed/prefered. I am very flexible and it is your goal which will determine how we'll work together.

Miss Océane is one of the best teachers I’ve met on Preply and Italki. I used to take Japanese lessons and now I take French lessons. She is well-prepared, and well-organised. Because my objective is spoken French, she divides my class into conversation and fundamentals. She is patient and nice. I feel focused and relaxed learning with her. I also like her choice of Google Meet as our classroom, very smooth despite my poor wifi.

Océane is really helping me with my French! My lessons with her have been very friendly and relaxed - I'm not worried about making mistakes. Conversational French

J'inclus souvent une part de conversation dans mes cours car cela nous donne l'occasion de travailler à la fois la compréhension orale et l'expression orale ainsi que la prononciation.

French for beginners

Je suis habituée à enseigner les bases du français. Je commence généralement par la présentation et par comment saluer. Puis nous passons à l'alphabet et aux chiffres et ainsi de suite. La progression est aussi lente que nécessaire et nous révisons beaucoup afin de s'assurer que les bases sont assimilées.

General French

Les cours "classiques" sont souvent divisés en deux parties : conversation et activités. Les activités varient d'un cours à l'autre et peuvent comporter des exercices, des compréhensions écrites, de la lecture, etc.

FLE

Je travaille avec de nombreuses personnes en FLE, surtout des demandeurs d'asile, dans le cadre de mon travail d'interprétation. Je suis donc habituée à parler d'autres langues pendant mon cours notamment anglais et espagnol afin de donner des points de comparaison avec la langue que l'élève connaît.
