I’m from Tokyo and I live in the UK with my English husband and a lovely cat.

I have lots of online teaching experiences. I enjoy teaching very much. Specially this is my joy to speak in Japanese with students who started learning with me from scratch.

I am specially experienced in teaching with textbooks such as Minnano Nihongo , Genki and so on.

I also teach using various things that would be fun and interesting. I plan the lessons to give you something new on each lessons.

Lessons are adapted to my specific needs and with great explanations for even the most complicated grammar. After only a short time I already noticed an improvement and I really enjoy these lessons :)

I’ve been studying with Mayu-sensei for about a month and half now and I find that I’ve learned a lot and the classes are easy to understand and she’s available to help whenever I have any questions, I’m looking forward to continue learning with her :)

I’ve studied with Mayu sensei for around a month! We always start off with a review of the homework and any questions. She’s always patient when I don’t understand something and always open to dedicating more time of the lesson to reviewing something. When some words in the textbook are outdated or “too stiff” for actual use too she gives practical alternatives that would be used more so today.

I've been studying with Mayu-sensei for a couple of months and it's been a great experience! We took time to go over my goals and find the right pace and textbook to fit them, and I feel that I'm moving forward and learning every week. Mayu-sensei adapts the sessions to what I find easy or hard, giving me time to understand and try challenging exercises, and always takes time to add context or extra examples for tricker grammar. When I have questions outside of class or need help with homework, she always responds really quickly so I'm never stuck. Mayu-sensei is also super friendly and easy to talk to, so I look forward to my sessions. :) I can 100% recommend Mayu-sensei as a Japanese tutor 👍

Mayu sensei is a very knowledgeable Japanese language teacher. She explains how the language works including its grammar in a way that is simple and easy to understand and really takes her time to explain something I may not understand. Mayu sensei is also a very kind and understanding person and I really appreciate every class I’ve taken with her to learn Japanese. I highly recommend anyone who wants to learn Japanese to choose Mayu sensei!
