I have successfully taught many absolute beginners from "안녕하세요" and Hangul, both in person and online. I have my own teaching materials for Hangul and basic greetings, which are perfect for students who are completely new to Korean.After just 10 lessons, my absolute beginner students are able to engage in small talk about daily routines with me in Korean, starting from the Korean alphabet and "안녕하세요".You might have been learning Korean for some time but still struggle to progress to pre-intermediate or intermediate due to a lack of confidence. I can help you learn how to make the most of your existing knowledge and learning experience to move forward.

The main purpose of the conversational Korean class is to help students broaden their familiarity with and comfort in talking about a variety of topics in Korean. It also aims to help students express their feelings and thoughts accurately and clearly.I use a range of lesson materials tailored to meet the needs and interests of my students. Some students are more interested in Korean culture, such as K-pop and Korean drama, while others study Korean to communicate with their family members from Korea. Many of them live and work in Korea or are in relationships with Korean partners.

I have experience teaching Korean to bilingual children, as well as kids aged 4 to school age. Typically, I conduct lessons directly with the kids, without involving their parents.The teaching approach for children and teens is quite different from teaching adults, as they have shorter attention spans and may lack self-motivation. However, if I provide fun and engaging lessons, they tend to learn quickly.Many children I teach are learning Korean as a heritage language to better communicate with their parents or relatives.Most teenagers who are fans of Korean culture, such as K-pop, BTS, or K-drama, enjoy customised lessons based on their interests, making it easy for them to pick up the language.

I have had many students who were planning to visit or live in Korea for work or study, and they took intensive Korean lessons with me. They had lessons more than twice a week, or for 1.5 hours each time. To help them achieve their short-term goals, I provided customized support, including homework for revision.

My students who study Business Korean typically work for Korean companies or have Korean clients. I use Business Korean textbooks to teach them Business Korean jargon, as well as business culture and manners to help them understand the implied meaning of communication. Previously, I worked as a business consultant at a consulting firm, where I offered training to international companies to aid their understanding of the Korean market and society.

I majored in Korean Language Education and learned how to teach Korean literature, including poetry, novels, and folk tales, to Korean language learners. I use Korean poems and folk tales in my classes for pre-intermediate students to help them better understand Korean values and culture.

I have experience teaching students who prepare IB Korean exams for high school students. It requires a combination of reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in various contexts.

TOPIK preparation is my specialised teaching area with extensive experience. I offer my students who have completed a beginner or late-beginner course with me the opportunity to take the TOPIK I test to officially assess their levels. All of my students have passed TOPIK I and moved on to TOPIK II.I enjoy teaching TOPIK, especially guiding students in essay writing. One of my students attained the highest score in TOPIK level 6 and now works as an English & Korean translator.
