Ecology

An ecosystem is a dynamic set of relationships among the physical environment and the living resources, habitats, and species found there, including people. Forests and rangelands are driven by processes such as carbon, water, and nutrient cycling; successional trajectories; and disturbances, such as fire, herbivory, and disease. Our research explores these interacting processes and their ecosystems.
