Dr. Kadl is an assistant professor of medicine and pharmacology. Her research focuses on lung inflammation and immune cell trafficking in the lung during acute injury.
A native of Vienna, Austria, Dr. Kadl attended the Medical University of Vienna and moved to the United States in 2004 for a post-doctoral fellowship at UVA. She started her clinical training in internal medicine at UVA in 2006, and went on to complete a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine in 2013. After finishing her fellowship, she joined the faculty at UVA on a clinical investigator track. She earned a master’s in clinical research in 2017.
Outside of work, Dr. Kadl keeps busy as a mother of 7-year-old twins. A former professional volleyball player, she still enjoys volleyball as well as running, gardening and the outdoors.
