The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are not huge but was fine for 3 people. They are decorated in a classic, simple way. Loved the Hollywood pictures on the walls, in honor of the builder, William Randolph Hearst's mistress, Marion Davies.
Right around the corner is MoMa, the Museum of Modern Art. Plenty of tourists and people walking near by so the area felt safe, even at 10 pm. If you like the bustle of Times Square, it's directly south. Central Park is a few blocks away. However, you will need public transportation to reach the American Natural History Museum, since it's almost 25 short blocks away.
The hotel's beds are very comfortable. Loved the firm foam pillows! The staff kept the room neat and clean. They do have mini fridges in the rooms and a closet safe to keep valuables secure. The water pressure was strong, unlike some hotels that have shower regulators. Recommend you grab ice from ice machine in the evenings because it seemed low in the morning. The three elevators are small but we didn't have to wait too long to get one.
Subway entrances aren't too faraway to get to your planned location.

New York's vibrant and exciting. It hums 24 hours a day. That can be both exciting and exhausting. We walked miles and miles, took the subway and taxis, too. The last evening of our stay I left my iPad in a taxi and have been unable to recover it. That's what happens after six full days of nonstop hectic movement and a feverish NY pace. I still haven't recovered from that huge loss. My iPad contained years of history, tons of photos taken over the years, including terrific shots of NY taken during the week there. That was the very worst of what had started as a magical tip. We ate in some great restaurants as it was restaurant week, went to the Blue Note and saw the Harlem Gospel Choir our first afternoon there, went to two terrific musicals and the Mettras wells a photo exhibit. The last day went to Bloomie's, not far from our hotel. NY has something for everyone; that is its magic!

Great city found the people very friendly.
Great city found the people very friendly. So much to do and see. Perhaps should have stayed longer as was only there for 4 days. Would definitely be back. Perhaps Christmas time. Had not appreciated how hot New York gets with temperatures in the 30’s every day we were there in August

911 Museum and Memorial were beautiful and very touching. Took the hop on and off tour bus, which was disappointing because it didn’t take you too any of the big attractions. It just drove to the area and you needed to walk blocks to get to visit the site. Wouldn’t recommend.

You are never done exploring New York!
You are never done exploring New York! Every time I come to the city I experience new things and adventures. I recommend picking tall buildings, like Empire State or the Edge for amazing views, I recommend picnic in Central Park or boat rides in the garden or around Manhattan. The list is long and even though I have been there many times I am going back to continue exploring beautiful New York.

I loved New York, but found Time square too much at times.
I loved New York, but found Time square too much at times. Up around Wall Street was very nice you must try out edge. I had time and I will be returning very soon. O’ Donahue Bar is very nice for food and good value in Time Square
If you are planning a trip to New York, bring a very comfortable pair of shoes because you will be doing a lot of walking
The location of this hotel is so good that on some days we did not even take the subway to get to top destinations like the Statue of Liberty, Brookly Bridge, Times Square. The rooms are clean and spacious. The rain shower has it's own little room. Little perks like a toy, free water/coffee/tea in the lobby are a highlight. The best though is the roof! Get your pastries and coffee at Ferrara across the street and enjoy breakfast with a view of the Manhattan skyline.
What an amazing location! Just a short stroll from Madison Square Garden, the Empire State Building, Times Square, and Grand Central Station. With a metro station just around the corner, exploring all of Manhattan is incredibly convenient from the hotel. And the rooftop bar is a major highlight, offering a fabulous view of the Empire State Building.
The locations is excellent close to Times Square, as well as all the facilities in the hotel! Room was nice and clean very conviene to have a kitchen! The breakfast is awesome succeeded my expectations!!! Would stay again definitively it is the best I had experienced in New York Manhattan!
The Staff was very kind and helpful, the whole hotel is clean and in in good condition. we had a spacious room at the 19th floor with a nice view on the "New Yorker" and on "The Edge". The Subway is only 10 Min away and Times Square is nearby. A good choice for Midtown Manhattan.
Great service. Although can’t call it cheap, but regarding New York prices, good value for money. Close to subway and can reach Times Square, Barclays Center and JFK with just one ride.
